For example, the area code for all of Manhattan is 212. The area code for Hawaii is 808.The history of the 808 area code is a bit complicated. The 808 area code was originally assigned to the state of Hawaii in 1947. However, due to population growth on the mainland United States, the 808 area code was eventually moved to cover the entire state of California in 1995.

In 1997, the 808 area code was moved back to Hawaii. This time, it was assigned to the island of Oahu. Today, the 808 area code is used to identify phone numbers on the island of Oahu.

Just wondering if anyone could help me out. I know Area Code 808 is for Hawaii, but I'm not sure which islands specifically. 808 is my home area code and I'm moving back home soon, so I wanted to make sure I knew how to tell people where to call me. Thanks in advance!
