Remove My Public Info

If you find out that the information about you on the NumLooker data set is false, you can ask for it to be removed from their background report search results. To do that successfully, identity verification has to be done to prove it is you before deleting any consumer public record.

After verifying your identity, the NumLooker team will search records matching your data and add them to a list of records that won’t ever appear in the platform’s background report search results. Once your record is erased, you will get a confirmation email, and we shall do everything we can to put your information out of our search results.

Let us check out some of the most frequently asked questions regarding this feature:

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do I have to be registered with NumLooker to be removed from their search results?

No, anyone can request the removal of their public data from our search results.

Does it cost anything to ask for my records to be erased from NumLooker’s search results?

No, it is completely free to request to have your information removed from our database.

How long is the process to have my records removed from NumLooker?

After you receive our confirmation email, it means your request is processed for removal during our next database updates. Mostly, it takes about one day, and we encourage you to follow up and verify we removed your records. If not, contact our customer support at [email protected]

Can I verify if my records were deleted?

It takes about 24 hours to get rid of your data after the confirmation email is sent. You may have to clear your device’s browser’s history or cache to ensure your device is not recalling cached information in certain scenarios. Please, ensure to do verification to ascertain the removal of your information from our people search results. If the records still show up, please reach out to our sales team and be patient as they guide you through the next procedure.

Will my information ever reappear after I ask for its removal?

Since our databases get regular updates from different public resources, there may be times when information about you comes back to us. In most cases, it is different from what you had previously asked for removal with differences including spelling, addresses, and initials. That makes it impossible to delete every new data conclusively; hence, you will need to repeat the removal process to delete the new record as well.

Is it possible to remove another person’s information from NumLooker search results?

This is not allowed as you are only permitted to request the removal of your own records and not that of other persons, not even family members or friends. We do this to prevent fraud cases and protect our database integrity.
